A 21 year old man by the name of Colton Grubbs was sentenced to 30 months in prison, for computer related money laundering, and illegal removal of property in order to prevent seizure. He pleaded guilty to authoring a sophisticated Remote Access Trojan (RAT) called LuminosityLink. He marketed and sold the software, giving unknown customers the ability to use the software as a remote keylogger. Aside from this, LuminosityLink could also perform surveillance on a victim's computer, this includes the microphone, viewing and downloading files, as well as stealing names and passwords. Colton Grubbs admitted to having sold the software to over 6000 customers in the US.

As required by law, Colton Grubbs will serve 85% of his sentence, afterwards he will be under 3 years of parole, and will have to forfeit 725,000 dollars worth of bitcoin, which was acquired by the FBI.

That was the news, sorry its been so all over the place, we are now back on track.
  Have a good weekend.
