News Putin Tightens Grip on Russia:
#1
[Image: usrussiacyber.png]

Putin has signed a new bill into law that is going to change the cyber-landscape of Russia, effectively cutting off all Russians form the wider global net, as the bill ensures that all traffic from any user in Russia is isolated to Russia only. The new bill was signed into law just this last Wednesday.

Russian citizens on the other hand, are not too happy about the new law. Only 23% of all Russians in country support. This obviously caught the eyes of a global audience, and civil liberties activists have put forth a staunch opposition to the new bill.

But despite how the new law could be abused, the Kremlin has repeatedly stated that the law has been into place in the event of an attack on Russia's cyber-infrastructure.

Original article can be found here.

That was the news folks, have a good week, and stay safe out there.
