Sellers on Amazon were struck were victims of a fraud scheme, from May 2018, to October 2018. It was reported that the hackers likely used phishing tactics to acquire the financial credentials of sellers. The money that the sellers have lost has not yet been stated, nor has the identity of the hackers themselves.
It has been reported that some traders have been paying out large sums to hackers to manipulate sales to ensure that they reach higher ranks.
