Singapore based crypto trading platform, Bitrue, was hacked by an unknown group of malicious actors, and were able to get away with over 4.5 million in USD. When they noticed something odd on their network, everything was shutdown for maintenance so they could figure what had happened.
In a statement officials from the platform said that the situation is under control, and that all funds lost will be retrieved and returned to their respective users. They also stated that they have contacted the proper authorities in order to track down the culprits.
This is Bitrue's second hack this year, with the first one happening in January, where they had lost over 100,000 dollars worth of ETC or Ethereum Classic.
