Red Security - Multiple Dentist Offices Hit By Ransomware:

Multiple dentist offices around the US have been hit with ransomware, that was able to breach in through third part software. The ransomware itself, dubbed REvil,broke into the infrastructure, through DDoS protection software,called DDS Safe, this software had been provided by PerCSoft, and DDR.

DDR provided a statement that they were taking immediate action to remedy the situation, although there were still many other dental practices that were still affected. There has been no official report about whether either company or any dental practice has paid any ransom.
