Microsoft was praised for acting swiftly after an unsecured cloud server with 250 million customer service records was left briefly exposed. According to an article from Infosecurity-magazine.come, this data included customer emails, user IP addresses, detailed descriptions of customer cases, emails and internal notes between customer service agents and their customers.
The exposed data was reported on December 29th, and then secured on December 31st.
