Al-Salam Alekum Cannot open .exe file extensions.
Hello guys this problem faced many of us, we will try fixing it.
The problem is the .exe extension changed so we get an error msg while trying to open any .exe file.
Firstly Start you computer in Safe Mode with Command Prompt

After that wait until the CMD open and try to open Regidit as shown below:
In Windows 10 type Regedit then enter:
[attachment=49]
Then let's delete the user choice folder for .exe extension :
Find .exe folder here: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\
[attachment=50]
Next delete the folder named User Choice:
[attachment=51]
Finally restart your computer by entering this in CMD "shutdown /r"
