A Google Chrome extension, an Ad-Blocker app named "AdRemover" was caught making suspicious requests from a remote command server. Google has since removed the extension but afterwards, users who downloaded the extension still don't know what reason the extension was actually collecting data for.

While Google has a history of putting up suspicious extensions and apps, and users have downloaded quite a few of them, Google has urged users to exercise more caution in the future when downloading extensions.
