3.1M Customer Records Stolen in Hack of Toyota - Mad-Architect - 04-01-2019

               Toyota is the recent target of hackers, when it was discovered that 3.1 million customer records were stolen, the the contents of these records included customer names, addresses, birth dates, government identification, phone numbers, and also details regarding their job and work. 


       It is reported that the hack originated from their Japan based dealership, but have also connected to other dealerships outside Japan as well. On report, there was a hack that targeted a Toyota dealership in Australia. This one took place in February and is suspected that it was orchestrated by state sponsored hackers. 


       It was lastly stated, by multiple security sectors that Toyota needs to quickly implement security measures, and will have to work hard to regain customer trust.
