MicroTik routers were found to have a serious vulnerability where an attacker could perform a DoS attack on the same router and can cause it to re-boot. On top of this, there was another issue where the memory would fill up due to Ipv6 route cache would end up bigger than the available RAM.

As of the writing of this post, the issues have been addressed and have been fixed. MicroTik has advised all users that they should be running the latest MicroTik router OS released after April 1st 2019.
