Britain Threatens Russia with Cyber-Attack - Mad-Architect - 04-17-2018

Early this morning, the UK announced threats against Russia involving Cyber-based attacks, if Russia targeted Britain's infrastructure. This is in light of the March 4th poisoning of Sergei Skripal, a former Russian/Soviet Intelligence officer, and his daughter 33 year old Yulia Skripal in Salisbury, UK. Within that topic, there have been repeated accusations of Russia being behind the attack, but these have been constantly refuted by Russia, specifically, their Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, who states that the chemical used in the attack (Novichok) was never a chemical produced in Russia, and he later goes on to state that according to reports from a lab in Spiez, Switzerland, that the chemicals could have been resourced from either the US or the UK.

Tensions between the West and Russia have been heating up, since the U.S, UK, and France launched air strikes against Syrian chemical weapons depots, in light of chemical attacks on Syrian civilians by Assad's military forces in the town of Douma, in the Eastern Ghouta region. This was the most recent attack against civilians by Assad forces, which killed more than 70 people.

The U.S as well as the UK expect a large cyber offensive by Russia in the coming days, as a response to the air strikes in Syria. Putin went on to state the West is acting like hypocrites, but despite rising tensions, all of the responses from Russia have been limited to statements condemning the air strikes.
