Massive Database Leak Gives Us a Window into China’s Digital Surveillance State - Mad-Architect - 03-02-2019

Recently, a database was discovered on the live-net, live-tracking the movements and whereabouts of 2.6 million of its citizens, specifically the province of Xinjang. This is the biggest hole that has been made, where we can take a good look into the heavy digital police state; and Xinjang is the testing ground for such a society. The province is home to Uigurs, a Turkish minority. Individuals from this group, and other minorities are detained, questioned, any electronic equipment or devices are seized and searched, all without the need of a warrant or a legitimate reason.

This is only the tip of the iceberg; the Chine Communist Party, or the CCP, has takne great measures to insure the movements, communications, and very lives of its citizens are monitored to a 'T'. This includes facial-recognition, DNA samples, fingerprints, and even iris scans. All citizens of Xinjang are required to install spyware on their devices, to insure they don't encounter any terrorist-associated content and/or propaganda.

But aside from this, despite all of the money that the CCP has poured into the digital police state, it cannot seem to properly secure it. It has already spent 3 billion on it, and is reported to spend an extra 30 billion on in the future. This is merely a sign of things to come, as it seems China is steering towards a strong Digital Police State, propped up by the CCP.
