Facebook has taken a strong stance against the spread of terrorist propaganda on its platform. In light of the Christchurch shooting in New Zealand, where a white nationalist extremist live streamed an armed attack on two Mosques where 50 people were killed, Facebook has made efforts to remove any footage of the video on its site.

FB's Deputy General Counsel Chris Sonderby had this to say:

"Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and the community affected by the horrific terrorist attacks in Christchurch," the Facebook executive added. "We will continue to work around the clock on this and will provide further updates as relevant."

This is after removing any and all footage of the attack, as well as copycat accounts bearing the shooter's name. While Facebook may be making strides to ensure that no such content spreads on its platform, there are those who are still criticizing them for a variety of reasons.
