A large fortune 500 data tech giant had its to quickly secure some servers housing customer data, when it was found they were left exposed. The exposed server was discovered by security researchers Noam Rotem and Ran Locar, afterwards they reported their findings to company officials.
It was reported by the researchers that the leaking server had no password, almost no encryption, and could be searched for and looked through by anyone with a browser. The server itself contained a large sum of personal data and partial financial data.
The company itself refused any comment on the situation, or to answer the question of whether they would inform their customers of the breach.
